Code of conduct
At ATNHE, we expect our members to uphold and follow the code of conduct with utmost sincerity and dedication. We believe an Engineer should uphold the prestige of his position always.
Our Association of Tamil Nadu Highways Engineers believe that our members should constantly place the needs of our country and the people above his own personal needs. They should be extremely cautious while spending the tax payer’s money without letting personal agenda clouding his judgment.
We highly condone any misuse of technical knowledge by our engineers and expect them to be kind and considerate while dealing with the general public and their fellow workers. They should treat everyone whether it is their subordinate or their superior with dignity and decorum.
We believe these codes of conduct shall help them lead a better professional as well as their personal life.

These codes aim to remind an engineer to respect & uphold this noble profession and act in a courteous way to serve with integrity.

An Engineer shall, by thought, word and deed, act always, in a manner that will enhance the prestige of the noble profession to which he belongs.

An Engineer shall not scoff at the subordinates nor stoop low before his seniors but shall act with dignity and decorum with both.

An Engineer shall present clearly the consequences to be expected if his professional judgement is over ruled by a non-professional authority where he is responsible for the professional adequacy of work.
